Who's Daniel Purnomo?
Daniel Purnomo is one of the best Fingerstyle and Jazz guitarist in Singapore. He's been playing guitar for more than 30 years. Daniel Purnomo graduated with his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Universitas Surabaya, Indonesia who later pursued his Second Bachelor Degree in Music at Lasalle College of Arts Singapore. 

How does Daniel Purnomo describe himself?
Daniel describes himself in 3 words : creative, playful and revelatory.

So, what is the meaning of creativity for Daniel Purnomo?
At the end, Daniel Purnomo realized that the similarity between Engineering and Music is "Creativity". Creativity is about how to make wise solution and conclusion within the limitating constraints whereby the best solution itself sometimes is the simplest thing people never think about. Daniel loves to think out of the box as he thinks "think inside the box" is too cramped by doing things differently positively.

What Daniel Purnomo has been doing in Singapore community?
Daniel Purnomo is a finalist of the International Ukulele Contest 2018 and 2019 (open solo category) in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2019 his trained team called Singapore Ukulele Revival (SURE) won the 2nd prize in the same contest in group category in Hawaii. 

Ukulele is one of the best instrument that fun to learn with for active living. Daniel Purnomo is sought after, dedicated and passionate trainer of The People's Association by teaching young ones and seniors how to play ukulele in Singapore community.  He has been teaching and imparting his musical passion, practical knowledge and innovative approaches in structured methods to greatly benefit his students. His patient and sense of humour make the class fun to experience.

In this Podcast Daniel shared his background, growing up in Surabaya and graduated as Industrial Engineer from Universitas Surabaya - Indonesia, pursuing music in Lasalle College of the Arts Singapore, writing his own compositions, become one of the best Jazz Fingerstyle guitarist in Singapore that enables him to play a band with his guitar then later experimenting and on his way to mastering double neck guitar playing with his self-designed double neck guitar.

What's Daniel Purnomo current activities?
Daniel Purnomo's conducting Zoom Ukulele and Guitar Online Lesson during Singapore COVID-19 pandemic starting in 2020 and become popular with his "Strum and Pluck Ukulele Lesson", "Ukulele Intermediate Fingerstyle Lesson" in Singapore. Some ukulele and guitar students prefer attending his class physically and some of them really enjoy and get the maximum benefit of joining Daniel Zoom Ukulele Lesson because they feel that it's saving their traveling time and they enjoy the class by "sitting at the front row". 

What' does Daniel Purnomo do beside playing and teaching guitar and ukulele?
Daniel loves traveling, watching movies, spending time with his wife strolling in the park and enjoying food around Singapore and listening to good sermons. Oh, Daniel also loves to make punny jokes.  

What makes Daniel Purnomo happy with his student?
When Daniel sees his guitar and ukulele students happy for their progress and they can celebrate even little progress, and when they realize they could achieve what seemingly impossible to them.
