Christmas Soiree - A Live Music, Interactive, Spontaneous Talk Show & Dinner @ Ergo Sum, Singapore

I & my friend, Kok Hua, a professional MC, organizing some Christmas gathering on 23rd December 2014. We wanted to celebrate that joyful season with friends, live music, laughters & food. We choosed Ergo Sum for this show, a cafe at 13 Duxton Hill, Singapore.

We invited Yap Shu Mei , a well-known Singapore composer-violinist to be our guest star. She's launching her Jazz Gospel album in this coming February 2015. We also has Michelle Chua, a Jazz nightingale with clear voice to be part of our team. We managed to get the poster done just by a week before the actual day. But amazingly, the tickets were all sold out only in 3 days after we made a Facebook event page. All the 45 seats were taken. Praise the Lord! :)

Some of the guests didn't mind to sit outdoor for dinner, then they'd come in after the dinner to enjoy the show. But on the day itself, we re-arranged the seatings, trying to accomodate as many people as possible inside.

The show went well. We spontaneously taught some untrained guess how to play touchstyle guitar...it worked well though. It's just to show how easy to learn touchstyle guitar. Next time call me if you want to learn ;)

Shu Mei also on the spot taught 2 people how to play violin. At least they became aware the difference between violin & ukulele. Ukulele needs a bow & violin doesn't...or is it the other way around??? Hmmmm...

I also enjoyed the music making session together with Michelle & Shu Mei. The chemistry between us worked well.  It's really a good excuse to play all the Christmas Carols we know...perfect moment!

We had a great crowd on that night. They're not shy, very interactive & responsive, singing, laughing, shouting (the happy kind of shouting) & dancing together. There's a guy from neighbourhood who coincidentally came for drinking. Our MC used this opportunity to "invite" him to be our spontaneous guest star & dancer.

Watch how our witty MC did a good job in teasing the audience :p

It was a memorable night we had, together with friends and new friends who came to share the joy together. It's very fullfilling to see happy faces there :)
Thank you for coming and be parts of our Christmas Soiree. Let's keep the Spirit of Christmas alive! God bless you all!
